Keshawn Ogans Invited to Arizona Fall League

(Peru, IL) - The Pistol Shrimp will be represented in the Arizona Fall League for the second straight season. Keshawn Ogans, 2021 Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp and current Atlanta Braves minor league prospect, has been invited to the Arizona Fall League as one of seven Braves assigned to Salt River Rafters.

Ogans, an infielder originally from the University of California, spent the 2021 summer with the Pistol Shrimp appearing in 39 games. He hit .333 with 50 hits, 9 doubles, 11 home runs, 39 runs batted in, and 35 runs scored in 150 at-bats. Ogans was also named as a 2021 Prospect League All-Star. 

Drafted in the 20th round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves, Ogans is in his second minor league season. Across his minor league career, Ogans has hit .262 with 130 hits, 25 doubles, 10 home runs, 77 runs batted in, and 61 runs scored in 141 games.

Ogans joins Fineas Del Bonta-Smith, who played for the River Rafters last season, as Pistol Shrimp alumni selected to the Arizona Fall League. 

The Arizona Fall League is the premier MLB-affiliated fall league beginning operations each year after the conclusion of the summer minor league season. All 30 MLB teams invite six prospects from their affiliates to participate in the six-team league. Games are played in the Arizona Spring Training stadiums and according to Major League Baseball, nearly 60 percent of all Arizona Fall League players will make it to the big leagues.
