Pistol Shrimp Reveal 2024 Schedule

(Peru, IL) - The Pistol Shrimp officially know when they will return to Schweickert Stadium in Peru, Illinois in 2024. The Prospect League released the complete 2024 league schedule today, including the 56-game regular season schedule for the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp.

The Pistol Shrimp are scheduled to play an even 28 games at home and 28 on the road in 2024. The home schedule includes 14 games in May and June and 14 in July with no scheduled doubleheaders and nine Friday/Saturday games. The road schedule includes two eastern conference road trips as the Pistol Shrimp will visit the Johnstown (Pennsylvania) Mill Rats, and the Chillicothe (Ohio) Paints one for the first time.

The Prospect League season will open on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, and the Pistol Shrimp will be on the road facing the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes. The Pistol Shrimp will debut at home on Thursday, May 30th against the Normal CornBelters followed by the first home weekend game of the season on Friday, May 31st against the Clinton LumberKings. 

The Pistol Shrimp's final regular season home game will take place on Sunday, July 28, 2024, against the Chillicothe Paints, and the regular season will conclude on Wednesday, July 31st, with the Pistol Shrimp on the road taking on the Normal CornBelters.
