Noah Shultz selected to 2024 MLB All-Star Futures Game

(Peru, IL) - Noah Schultz, 2022 Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp and current Chicago White Sox prospect, has been invited to the MLB All-Star Futures Game as one of just nine pitchers from the American League.

Schultz, a left-handed pitcher from Naperville, Illinois, spent the 2022 summer with the Pistol Shrimp appearing in 6 games and recording a 0.93 ERA in 19.1 innings with 37 strikeouts and a 0.78 WHIP.

Drafted with the 26th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox, Schultz is in his second minor league season. In 2023, Schultz appeared in 10 games with the Low-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers throwing 27 innings with 38 strikeouts and a 1.33 ERA. He began 2024 with the High-A Winston-Salem Dash throwing 27.1 innings in 7 games with a 3.95 ERA and 42 strikeouts. Schultz was promoted to the Double-A Birmingham Barons on May 25th and has since recorded a 2.30 ERA with 33 strikeouts across 7 games and 27.1 innings.

Schultz is currently ranked the #18 Prospect in all of baseball, the #1 Left-Handed Pitching Prospect, and the #2 Prospect in the Chicago White Sox Farm System by MLB Pipeline. His career minor league stats include a 2.53 ERA with 113 strikeouts across 81.2 innings in 24 games, all starts.

The MLB All-Star Futures Game has taken place during Major League Baseball's All-Star festivities since 1999. The two teams are made up of top prospects from the American League and National League with all 30 MLB organizations represented and up to two players from each organization. The game is a 7-inning exhibition and has showcased the likes of Zack Greinke, Justin Verlander, Mike Trout, and José Altuve.

The 2024 MLB All-Star Futures game will take place Saturday, July 13 at 3:10 PM CT at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Fans can watch the Futures Game on MLB Network, MLB.TV, MLB.com, or in the MLB App.
