Three Pistol Shrimp Named Prospect League All-Stars, Primeaux Named Fireman of the Year

Peru, Ill. - The 2025 Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp concluded the second half with the third-best record in the Prospect League. For their efforts, they have been awarded three full-season Prospect League All-Stars after a vote by the League's 18 field managers following the conclusion of the regular season. James Love, D'Andre Gaines, and Parker Primeaux have been named 2025 Western Conference All-Stars, while Primeaux has also been named the 2025 Galen Woods Fireman of the Year.

James Love (Third Base)

James Love, across 44 games, batted .366 with 52 hits, 34 runs, 8 doubles, 2 triples, 1 home run, 31 runs batted in, and a .955 on-base + slugging percentage.

The Eastern Illinois University product led the Pistol Shrimp with 52 hits and 8 doubles.

D'Andre Gaines (Outfield)

D'Andre Gaines, across 47 games, batted .311 with 50 hits, 43 runs, 8 doubles, 9 home runs, 36 runs batted in, and a .955 on-base + slugging percentage.

The Mid-America Christian University product led the Pistol Shrimp with 8 doubles, 9 home runs, 28 walks, 43 runs scored, and 36 runs batted in.

Parker Primeaux (Pitcher)

Parker Primeaux, across 9 appearances, tossed 22.1 innings with a 0.40 earned run average, allowing 4 hits, 4 walks, and 1 run. Primeaux recorded 5 saves and struck out 41 batters with 16.52 strikeouts per 9 innings and a 0.36 WHIP.

Primeaux was also awarded as the Galen Woods Fireman of the Year, given to the league's top reliever.

The McNeese State University product signed a professional contract with the Sussex County Miners of the Frontier League following the end of the regular season.
